Waterfront Advisory Board

Meetings Held: Meets 3rd Tuesday of every month Newcomb Hall at 6:00PM.

Composition & Qualifications: A seven-member board. Members shall be selected with special reference to their knowledge of and interest in waterfront resources and development of the City. (Chapter 2, Sec. 2-201 (a)). Each
City Council member shall appoint a Board member for a period of one year commencing May 1st of each year and; shall appoint two members at large for a period of one year commencing at the date of appointment. (Chapter 2, Sec. 2-102 (b)).

Authority: City of Riviera Beach Code of Ordinances, Chapter 2, Sec. 2-101

Function: To advise the City Council on matters related to the development, maintenance, operation, financial management and related issues pertaining to the city-owned waterfront facilities in accordance with present and future needs, demands and requirements of the prosperity, convenience and general welfare of the residents of the City. The Board shall also advise, as authorized by the City Council, on any other matter related to waterfront properties, public or private, and the impact of any development, or lack of development, that may influence or affect the resources of the City.
